Sailing in the sheltered waters at Oxenford is a great place for our young sailors to have fun while learning the sport of sailing!

TACKERS

Tackers is a program aimed at getting more primary school aged kids sailing at clubs and centres across the country. Everything about Tackers is centered on understanding how kids learn skills and have fun through sport. The boats used in the Tackers program are small and easy to handle, designed to be sailed by children under the age of 12.

Tackers is delivered at three levels:

Tackers 1 – Having Fun

Tackers 2 – Tricks & Techniques

Tackers 3 – Sailing Fast!

Each program consists of:

– 20 hours tuition from qualified Australian Sailing Instructors and Assistant Instructors

– Combination of on-the-water and off-the-water games

– Certificate of achievement at the end of the course

If this is the first sailing experience for the Kids then we would recommend trying our Fun Sail Sessions before committing to this course. Our Instructors are able to provide you with feedback relating to the best starting plan for your child.

Round the Young ‘Uns Up for an Adventure Out on the Water!

Your Kids Will Have a Blast Learning About the Basics of Sailing on a Dinghy Guided by an Experienced Instructor!

All Equipment Provided! Fun New Activity to Keep the Kids Occupied.

Our Funsail lessons are a great way to introduce the kids  from ages 7-15 to the great sport of sailing! Absolutely no experience is required, the kids will be taught the basics of sailing so that they are able to operate the boat out on the water.

The boats used are our X3’s and we allocate anywhere between 2-4 kids per boat depending on weather conditions and every individual’s skills to ensure maximum enjoyment out on the water.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY SAILING
