This Week in Yachting – 21st Nov 2024
Southport Yacht Club have multiple sailors competing at the moment in Australia and overseas!
Queensland Youth Week is currently on in Brisbane with a number of our youth sailors competing there and plenty of good results so far! With just one more day of sailing to come Ezra Pritchard and Tom Siganto are sitting in 2nd place in the 29er category and Charlie Piacun is leading the Opti Intermediate Fleet.
We also have our 49er team of Joel Turner and Lewis Brake competing in Helsinki, Finland at the moment in their European Championships! Coming straight off 1st place in the u21 World Championships, they are currently sitting 32nd in the open European Championship comprising of numerous Olympian and World champion crews.
