This Week in Yachting – 21st Nov 2024
Last Friday evening at the judging announcements of the Awards for best work at the Royal Queensland Art Society in Broadbeach, one of our Club Members, Barbara Goldner, received three Awards of excellence.
His honour Tom Tate the City’s Lord Mayor presented Barbara with first (1st) prize for Best individual work “Mistuff”. The same painting also won the Mal Hodges Award for Creative Work.
Barbara also won second (2nd) prize with “Dinner for Two” in the RQAS Portrait division. It was the first time any artist has won three (3) awards in the same exhibition in the history of the RQAS on the Gold Coast.
Barbara has been a member of SYC for many years, married to Life Member and Past Commodore, Tony Goldner,
