As Australia’s largest Discover Sailing Centre, Southport Yacht Club Academy provides sailing programs for children, teens, and adults in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.

Operating from Oxenford Watersports Centre and Hollywell Sailing Squadron, our experienced instructors deliver beginner, intermediate, and advanced sailing courses designed to build confidence and develop skills both on the lake and on open water.

All equipment is provided, including boats, life jackets, and safety support vessels operated by qualified instructors. Whether you’re taking your first steps into sailing, looking to improve your skills, or progressing into racing and regatta sailing, our programs cater to every stage of the sailing journey.

From Kids Learn to Sail and Teens Sailing programs to Adult Learn to Sail courses, private lessons, school programs, and racing pathways, Southport Yacht Club Academy offers some of the most comprehensive sailing opportunities on the Gold Coast.
