Spending majority of his career in Marine Training, Josh’s main passion is sharing his knowledge of on water activities and empowering others to achieve their goals.

Qualifying as a Boat Safe Training Provider, Josh has been involved with a number of Registered Training Organisations through growth and development phases. Along with ample experience working on the water, this solid foundation has ensured Josh to have a thorough understanding of all aspects of participation programs, training programs, event management and differing business models for training.

After various on water roles in his early working career as a Head Coach, Ship-master, Boat Salesman, Marine Trimmer, Charter Skipper and Sailing Instructor, in 2010 Josh moved on to a role within Yachting Australia as the Senior Dinghy, Keel Boat and Power Boat Instructor, where job roles included training and assessing in all three divisions, development of national training resources and participation on national committees as a technical expert.

Moving from Yachting Australia, Josh was employed at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron as Training Coordinator and Club Sailing & Regatta Manager, before moving on to Southport Yacht Club as Sailing Administrator working closely with Sailing Manager, Simon Turpin.

It is evident by the job roles previously held by Josh, that he has a great passion for Sailing, and training others to become more experienced. Josh is currently studying a Diploma of Business to again further develop and advance his knowledge of overall Business Management.

When not at work, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children as well as getting out on the water for a spot of sailing here and there.
