The 2023 Cat Weekend was a Blast! 23 Off the Beach Catamarans battled hot and humid conditions with some great racing on the Broadwater.

Hive of Activity

What a superb turnout for the beginning of Term 1 courses this year. We have welcomed new instructors to the family along with new and past learn to sail participants. Saturday is a hive of activity at SYC Oxenford with Free Sails and courses running all day. If you’d like to join in the fun, drop in and chat with one of our team.

SAILOR OF THE WEEK

Congratulations to Lyla Greenwood who has been selected as our Sailor of the Week! Lyla completed Tackers 1-3 and has progressed to squad training at SYC Hollywell. Lyla continually demonstrates an outstanding attitude as she works towards becoming a junior sailing Mentor.

Beginners Crewing

SYC saw the first of our Adult Learn to Sail and She Sails participants take part in beginner crewing on Wednesday and Thursday evenings for twilight sailing at Hollywell.

There has been a lot of interest as our adult learners progress from learn to sail courses. If you’ve completed an Adult Learn to Sail course or She Sails event and want to see what is next, click here to register for one of the many crewing opportunities on offer.
