TEAM UPDATE

RQYS GOODWILL CUP

Congratulations to the SYC boats and crew who competed in the Goodwill Cup on the weekend at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron. Together they were known as the LBW team – or “Lets Get a Black Wedgie On”

Day 1 on Saturday saw some great racing, with SYC boats achieving solid IRC results, with Wedgetail 1st, Black Diamond 2nd, Let’s Get It On 4th.

Day 2 on Sunday saw Wedgetail score 1st on IRC and therefore the winner of the Goodwill Cup. Congratulations to David Rose and crew, well sailed!

SYC ACADEMY

Team Update
Term 4 has seen the largest intake of Kids Learn to Sail (Tackers 1) sailors with over 55 kids ages 7-12 years participating in our Academy Trial day, 47 kids joined our course!

OutThere Fleet held at Hollywell has released an afternoon session to accommodate our growing OutThere Fleet!
Our Adult Learn to Sail beginner courses are reaching full capacity the month prior, and almost all participants are eager to continue with Sail Pass or Keelboat opportunities.

New Resources
New Carpark spaces are now finished and ready for use.

We are currently introducing a new booking platform across some of our sessions/events, called Fareharbour.
This will allow customers to have a smoother checkout process and some extra comms features.

Sail Pass Thursday Twilight

All Adult learn to Sail participants will receive 3x complimentary Sail pass upon completion
