2018 Australian & Oceania Laser Championships

Five members of the SYC Performance Team contested the 2018 Australian & Oceania Laser Championships held at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron. All performed well in their respective divisions with variable conditions. Tom Wright fought hard to get 4^th Australian Youth Male in the 4.7 Class and Junior Commodore Melanie Watson also ended up with 4^th Australian Youth Female in the Radial Class. Leigh Lomas in his Radial “Sun Bed” after having to pull out of the last days racing due to injury still had a great result of 5^th Australian Junior Male in the Radial Class. Sam Martland 7^th Australian Youth Male in the 4.7 Class and Dylan Lynch in the hotly contested Male Youth Radial division finished in a very credible 19^th position.
