SYCs sailing season resumes with the Evolution Sails Two Handed Race
Saturday 11th July
The Southport Yacht Club sailing season resumed with a cracking day out on the water for the Evolution Sails 2 Handed Race on Saturday 11th July.
All of our sailors were rearing to get back out on the water as evidenced by the record number of entries into the Race! It was a an absolutely magical day out on the water – the rain held off and there was a consistent breeze throughout the day. Special mentions must go to the teams on Turbulence and Desperado – who almost didn’t get away after getting stuck on a sand bar before the race had even begun. Pole Dancer had the most graceful start of the day after almost taking out the SYC Race Control boat, and FastEddie also deserves a special mention after losing a man overboard.
