At SYC Oxenford we strive to create a happy and dynamic environment with a family feel for all our customers, volunteers and staff.
Last week we welcomed Mick and Caela back into the SYC family. They will be predominantly based at SYC Oxenford bringing a variety of knowledge and experience in sailing, windsurfing, event management and business.
We have also said farewell to a valued family member, Chelseann Osborne this week. Chelseann made a positive impact while she was with us, always turning up with a smile and helping out wherever and with whatever was needed. She will be missed by everyone and we wish her all the best with her coaching business and personal sailing goals in Townsville.
Sailor of the Week is Violet Oldfield
(Home School Tackers 1, Term 4, Wednesday)
This young aspiring female sailor has been part of the Home School Sailing Programs at SYC Oxenford for the past 6 months.
Violet has a unique physical impairment where her body can dislocate in any area; hyper mobility.
Our sailing family at SYC Oxenford have chosen Violet because despite missing a number of classes, she continues to take big steps forward in her quest to become a better sailor, showing unwavering dedication and passion to reach her goals.
Well done Violet, you are an inspiration to us all.
