Club Racing Update

Racing is in full swing this week – a busy week of sailing and WE LOVE IT!

Wednesday (Off The Beach Dinghy’s – Super Sprints) and (Inshore Division – Round the Cans)
Thursday (TT Summer Series)
Saturday (Inshore Division Summer Passage) and (Off The Beach Cats – Club Championship)
Sunday (Offshore Division – Summer Passage) and (Off the Beach Dinghy’s – Club championships)

SYC Representation at National Championships

Best of luck to the following SYC representatives taking part in the 2022 International OK Dinghy Australian Championships at Woollahra Sailing Club (13^th – 18^th March).

Results are not in yet – as racing is still occurring.

Volunteers Training Day

We had a fantastic day on Saturday 12^th March with our Volunteers Training Day. With 18 fabulous Volunteers turning up – a great day was had by all.

Topics covered included Support Boat Handling Technics (inc. launching, retrieving, and laying of marker buoys) through to Radio Communications, Nautical Knots (tie and release) and Race Flag overview.
The day finished off with a tasty BBQ for all.
We were happy to see 2 Juniors as a part of the group and hope to encourage more in our Volunteer Program – so spread the word if you know any ‘Adults’ who might be interested.

Att: All Offshore Division Skippers.
There will be an Offshore Skippers Divisional Meeting for all Offshore Skippers plus One Crew Member on Monday 21st March at 6.30 pm (SYC MB Compass Room).
