BURLEIGH BASH!
“Glamourous, fun and eventful” – that’s how the 2023 Burleigh Bash on Sunday (rescheduled from October 2023) will be remembered. Wind and sea predictions early in the week certainly had us on our toes but it turned out to be a memorable day on the water for the 21 entries, many sporting questionable tactics in a bid to secure prizes. Special mention to Burleigh Crash trophy winner Dave Chester on Sledder, who broke their dagger board housing and split open their hull – yet managed to successfully return through the Seaway under sail without sinking.
