Perfect conditions were had on Saturday for 27 entries in our annual keelboat and catamaran inshore event, the Crab Island Classic, sponsored by Samuel Smith & Sons. Congratulations to all competitors and to our 2024 winners!

TK ROBERTSON TROPHY RACE 2024

Cruising Yacht Club of Australia’s Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race is nearly here. The race starts on 27 July 2024 at 1300hrs and Southport Yacht Club is the finish line.

Our Second weekend of Term 3 was perfect, our kids started to really sink into their new courses and absorb the instructor’s directions. We are looking forward to seeing all our Tackers and OutThere kids shine throughout the term.

Family Fun Sailing

Our Family Fun Sailing session took another 4 Families this week, our families taking our Hobies out on the water and soaking up the family fun time.

Our next sessions – Saturday 3rd August 8:30 am-11:30 am & 12 pm-3 pm

Adults learn to sail

The Adult Learn to Sail July course completed its final session this week with all our sailors heading to the water to show off the new skills that they have learned from our 3-day course.

Sailor of the week

We would like to congratulate Ava Stait-Gardner for being this week’s Sailor of the Week! In Tackers 3, Ava has shown a great lot of excitement and interest in sailing. This term Ava will begin her new journey into Junior Fleet and we could not be more proud!

We are super excited to see Ava progress with his sailing.
