Etchells Round 5 – 20th February 2016
Racing was held offshore in 10-12 Knot ENE breeze and moderate seas.
Perfect offshore conditions that allowed some very close racing for the Fleet.
Race 7 saw Betelgeuse take an early lead with Wheres Wally applying pressure throughout the race.
Betelgeuse was able to maintain her lead and hold on for the finish.

Race 8 saw some close racing with the lead changing hands on multiple occasions, a different yacht leading around the top mark on each leg.
At the finish there was only 5 seconds separating the top 3 boats. The Etchell fleet putting a bit of pressure on the PRO and volunteers with Where’s Wally nearly finishing in their cockpit!!

Race 9, again some close racing. Wheres Wally leading the race from start to finish, being pushed all the way by Betelgeuse.
Wally was able to hold off a fast finish from Betelgeuse with less than 1 second separating them at the line.
