We are very lucky to have such an outstanding sponsorship base at Southport Yacht Club. One of the most recent sponsors to join the team is Local business owner David Lynch of Kwik Kopy Southport.
Kwik Kopy Southport have been working hand in hand with the Sailing Academy and are the source behind the Sailing Team’s new uniforms which have had an extremely positive impact on the Sailing Team. The junior sailors and coaches are wearing their uniforms with heads held high to training, racing days, and most importantly when representing SYC at away regattas. The team has grown to now have over 40 junior sailors all with the aim of training hard and achieving their sailing goals. The uniforms have certainly proven to be a catalyst in the Team’s comradery and club pride.
The uniforms are available for purchase at the Sailing Office and are a great way to show your support to our youth sailors as all funds will go directly back into supporting youth sailing at SYC.
Kwik Kopy are also playing a crucial role in the SYC Open Bic Team’s 2015 World Campaign. They are assisting in the promotion and fundraising of the SYC junior BIC sailors that have now grown to 11 boats of which 8 are representing the club at the world championship.
The World title will be held at Safety Beach Victoria in Dec-Jan 2016. As host nation, there is a selected Australian team, and every BIC sailor in Australia is given the opportunity to compete in qualifying rounds on the world stage.
With the expectation of 60+ internationals and 120 “locals” – It’s an opportunity not to be missed! So thank you Kwik Kopy and to all the parents who are also involved in supporting our junior sailors to have access to such great opportunities.

- BBQ at Bunnings Harbourtown, Saturday the 3rd of October 2015 8am-3pm
