Mathew Belcher and Will Ryan – World Champions

Congratulations to Southport Yacht Club Member Mathew Belcher and his crew Will Ryan on taking out their 2nd World Championship together (and Mat’s 5th World Championship) in Spain on the weekend!

Congratulations also to club members Joel Turner and Lewis Brak…e Turner/Brake 49er Sailing Team on coming 42nd in the World in the 49er class and to our Head Coach Shane Smith for guiding the Australian womens 49erFX team to a top 10 finish and Rio Olympic qualification. Well done all – we are all very proud at SYC.
