What an event! SYC’s signature 3 day offshore regatta was held over this past long weekend, drawing boats from Mooloolaba to Coffs Harbour and crew members flying in from as far afield as Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and the Whitsundays. Proudly supported by Experience Gold Coast, Club Marine and Australian Sailing, The Yacht Sales Co Sail Paradise 2024 Regatta wrapped up Monday, delivering the following final winners of the Perpetual trophies and the Queensland Yachting Championships!

Sailing at Oxenford By Ashlea Kernahan

This weekend, our second session for Term 4 Learn to Sail courses kicked off with all our sailors getting into the swing of things. The weather provided perfect winds and sun for our Tackers and OutThere sailors, we love seeing all our sailors having an absolute blast each week!

Sailor of the week

Maddox has been selected as this week’s Sailor of the Week!
Maddox began his sailing adventure in our September School holidays program and cannot get enough. Maddox joined our OutThere Sailing program for term 4 and has demonstrated a tremendous deal of skill and excitement for sailing already. We are very excited to see his sailing journey continue!

BRIDGE TO NO BRIDGE

Our biennial party race is on again on the 12-13th October! Open to all Cats and Keelboat divisions, this overnight event to our Dux island retreat on Stradbroke is an especially fun event not to miss. Check out the details on the event page here.

Start Racing-

Start Racing launched Saturday 7th September 2024
This new program helps sailors get into racing using the SYC Hobie Wave Catamarans in the Off the Beach Catamaran Division Races at Hollywell Sailing Squadron.
When: Saturdays 11:00am-3:30pm, as per registration
Where: Hollywell Sailing Squadron
Cost: $100 per boat, max 4 persons per boat (max 2 recommended for mobility)
Only 3 boats available per session!
