TEAM UPDATE

Well done to all SYC boats and crews who competed in the 49th St Helena Cup on Moreton Bay last weekend!

A special congratulations to Garry Holt and the crew from Let’s Get it On. Winners of both the IRC and ORC divisions! Garry’s crew are on a roll, having won the Overall Champion and Series Perpetual trophies at our Sail Paradise Regatta the weekend prior!

BRIDGE TO NO BRIDGE

Our biennial race to Dux over the weekend took a different forma this year, with the weather deemed a little unfavourable for overnight camping. Two days of variable inshore racing saw a light 6knots NE at the start of Day 1 which increased to a respectable 12 knots on the return leg. Day 2 brought higher winds and crowned Kelvin Holdt the winner of the Southport Yacht Club 2024 Bridge to No Bridge. Congratulations Kelvin!

The 2024 She Sails Conference Viewing Party is next Tuesday, 22nd October at 6pm, to be held in the Compass Room at Main Beach. No RSVP required

Start Racing-

Start Racing launched Saturday 7th September 2024
This new program helps sailors get into racing using the SYC Hobie Wave Catamarans in the Off the Beach Catamaran Division Races at Hollywell Sailing Squadron.
When: Saturdays 11:00am-3:30pm, as per registration
Where: Hollywell Sailing Squadron
Cost: $100 per boat, max 4 persons per boat (max 2 recommended for mobility)
Only 3 boats available per session!
