A fantastic Sunday 16th February out on the waters off Hollywell! Sponsored by Aviso Broking, excellent conditions were had for the two RTC and one Passage dinghy races to crown the Junior Champion and Cock of the Broadwater for 2024/25! . Congratulations to the Place winners:

SYC ACADEMY
Academy is continuing it’s reputation of Australia’s largest learn to sail facility. Over 90 kids and Teens have joined our Term 1 Learn to Sail courses.
Our Homeschool Sailing program also had over 65 sailors join our trial session with 30 already registered for the Wednesday sessions.
Our Adult Learn to Sail Courses are continuing to sell out with those graduated joining our new Social Sailing Saturdays!
NEW! Social Sailing Saturdays- Weekly on Saturdays at Oxenford Centre
For both experienced and avid sailors, a bit of fun and skill building on the lake, sailing Hobie Wave Catamarans and RS Quest Dinghies
· When: Weekly on Saturdays, 12pm-3pm (3hr session)
· Cost: $70 per person
· 2-4 participants will be allocated to each boat
· Age: Minimum 18+ (there is no maximum age, but a base level of mobility is essential. Sailing is an active vehicle sport)

Summer on the Lake Outcome:
Date: Saturday 18th January 2025
Over 640 participants joined us at our Oxenford Watersport Centre for our free Sailing and SUP sessions.
The event was packed with exciting activities for all ages. Families came together to enjoy the lake, as kids and adults alike shared in the fun.
Whether you were learning to sail for the first time, trying SUP for the first time, or racing across the water, there was something for everyone.
The weather was perfect for most of the day, with sunny skies and calm waters creating ideal conditions for everyone to get the most out of their time on the water.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us, from participants to volunteers, for making this such a memorable day.
