2022 European Championships – Joel Turner
Aussies off to a flying start at 2022 European Championships…….
A wide range of conditions in Aarhus, Denmark tested all on the opening day of the 49er, 49erFX and Nacra 17 European Championships, including the Australian Sailing Team (AST) and Australian Sailing Squad (ASS) athletes taking part.
The 49erFX (the fleet of 70 split into two groups for the qualifying series) and Nacra 17s went out first for the morning session.

Phuket Raceweek 2022
Thursday 30th June 2022 to Sunday 3rd July 2022
A number of SYC Members have travelled to Phuket to participate in the Phuket Raceweek 2022 including Caerdic Reader, Kelvin Holdt, Michael Spies, Scott Cunningham and Gary Holt.
Gary Holt is racing a new boat (Colby 36 ex Jessandra), with SYC members on board Michael and Scott – So far the results have been impressive (1st Place IRC 0 and IRC 1)

Youth Week | Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron
2022 Queensland Youth Week is open to all boats of the World Sailing preferred youth classes as well as selected youth and junior nationally recognized classes.
These classes include but are not limited to Techo Windsurfing, Raceboard, Lasers 4.7, Laser Radial, O’pen Skiff, Optimist (Green, Intermediate and Open Divisions), Sabot, 29er, 420, Flying 11, 125, Nacra 15, Hobie 16.
All competitors are required to be Under 23 Years. Eight of our SYC Juniors are representing in 3 Courses.
