The SYC Power Boat Committee is proud to announce that Wattyl Industrial Coatings are the major sponsors of this year’s Commodore’s Trophy on June 7 & 8 more……
The Wattyl sponsored event is the last round of 2013-14 SYC Powerboat Championship season. The Commodore’s Trophy Navigation Rally is run over two days on Moreton Bay with the Saturday event starting at Cabbage Tree Point counting towards the Championship and on Sunday there is an Open event that usually attracts entries from RQYS. The Commodore’s Trophy is a great end to the eight event season and includes an overnight stay at the beautiful RQYS Canaipa anchorage, Dinner ashore on Saturday night and Barbecue Lunch and Presentation on Sunday. In addition to the major sponsor Wattyl Industrial Coatings the event is also supported by Sealed Performance Batteries and McNab Brothers Butchery.
The event will decide the SYC Powerboat Championship for this season- Ray Gilbert “Samadhi”, currently has a handy lead over Graham Webb “Van Man” and Peter Brown “Bipty Bipty”. The race for Handicap honours is being led by Justin Sinnamon “Mystic Lady”.
