77th GLADSTONE PORTS BRISBANE TO GLADSTONE YACHT RACE 2025

It has been an absolute cleanup for Southport Yacht Club’s offshore sailing fraternity in the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race 2025 over the Easter weekend! In what proved to be a slow race with very light air, we are immensely proud of our boats, skippers, crews and regular racing members who won the following podium finishes:

SYC TAKES THE PODIUM AT THE 2025 ILCA QUEENSLAND STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN YEPPOON

The 2025 ILCA Queensland State Championships took place from April 11–13 at Keppel Bay Sailing Club in Yeppoon, bringing together top ILCA sailors from across the state for a weekend of competitive racing.
The event featured divisions for ILCA 4, ILCA 6, and ILCA 7, catering to Youth, Open, and Masters sailors.

Our Academy sailors delivered exceptional performances at the event:

Mila Gan (Dragonfly 214428): Secured 2nd place in the U16 Female division in ILCA 4.
Evie McGuire (Ripple 225741): Achieved 3rd place in the U16 Female division in ILCA 4.
Hugo Ralph: (Litre of Choccy Milk 216359) Our Academy’s Coach Hugo took 1st place overall in the ILCA 7 fleet!
